Welcome to SUNTECT!  We are an apparel company dedicated to protecting our outdoor workforce from the harmful effects of sun exposure.  With over 30+ million people in the USA working outside, there is a real need for education surrounding sun exposure and the impact it has on our lives.  Melanoma and other forms of skin cancer are steadily on the rise among those regularly working outdoors and often times it is completely preventable.  We approach sun protection by developing technical fabrics that are lightweight, breathable, and comfortable to wear throughout a day in the sun.  Not to mention they block 98% of all UVA/ UVB rays for the lifetime of the garment.  The protection doesn’t wash out, doesn’t fade, and doesn’t need to be reapplied.

The sun isn’t going anywhere so let’s fight back!

Our founder has been in the sun protective clothing industry for over 10 years and has extensive experience in Operations, product design, and industry-specific knowledge that helps dictate how we operate.  Mick spent his youth out in the sun docking boats 10 hours a day wearing a company provided cotton t-shirt.  The other part of his uniform was a permanent sunburn and the possibility of skin cancer later in life.

If you work outside, SUNTECT is for you.  From the construction site to the docks, exposure to sun while you work is a major risk factor.  Tell your boss to get on board!  If you are a boss- consider the risks you take by exposing your employees to harmful UV rays.  Outfitting your teams with SUNTECT apparel provides them the necessary protection and a better chance they’ll be healthy and ready to work for years to come.

The importance of sun protection on the job is an often overlooked concept and a very important factor in reducing the risks of skin cancer.  We are dedicated to providing sun protective workwear to the millions of people that earn a living in the sun.  See you outside!
